- The mission of the Association is to promote, attend and improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and that of their families in order to guarantee their rights, promoting and fostering equal opportunities, as well as their social inclusion. Vision To be a reference Association in management and transparency with: -An informed, educated, participatory and involved social base with all issues related to intellectual disability. -A flexible organizational design capable of responding and adapting to the needs of the environment related to intellectual disability, and in a process of continuous improvement. -Diversified financing. -Greater visibility and participation in society to defend the rights of the group of people that give it its reason for being. Principles and values The Association shares the principles and values of Full Inclusion, and we also place special emphasis on: -Responsibility: understood as the commitment towards society and the environment that surrounds us, and in particular towards people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (or risk of suffering from it) and their families. -Equality: Integrate equal opportunities between women and men in the organization as a basic and transversal principle, including this principle in the entity's policy objectives. -Respect: We recognize people and their rights. At Afanias Castellón we work for respect as a way of coexistence, enrichment and continuous improvement.
